12 - Thickness Measurement - VIPER

Where wall thickness measurements has to be conducted at difficult to reach locations (e.g. tank walls and roofs, steel construction, ...) Vinçotte uses the magnetic VIPER.


This ultrasonic testing method uses a zero (0) degree probe, also known as a straight probe or sensor. If the area to be measured cannot be reached by the inspector, the VIPER is used. This equipment is capable of working fully autonomously up to a distance of 25 meter and carries the straight probe to the area to be measured. In doing so, paint or welding beads do not form an obstruction for the VIPER.
